If she has a smart agent, she gets money everywhere.
She gets money from the books, she gets money to allow the books to be placed on film. She gets a cut of the box office pie and the DVD sales pie and, potentially, all the ancilliaries (action figures, board games, puzzles, ornaments, etc., etc., etc.)

dukalink is right. She gets money from everything associated with the series. She went from being poor to being very, very, very rich.
