Well, that really would depend on what the current operating system is.. because since Windows 2000, DOS doesn't really exist. It is possible to boot into "Safe Mode" with a command prompt, but this would not bethe same as DOS.

If you are running Win2K or XP and that's what you want to do you would just press the F8 key before you see the Windows logo as the computer is booting. You will then be provided the startup choices, one of which is Safe Mode > Command Prompt

If you just want to run DOS separate from the Operating System, then you can use a disk downloaded from http://www.bootdisk.com which has bootable DOS.

Or are you asking instead, how to reboot a computer when you are already in DOS mode? If that's the case, then either CTRL-ALT-DEL, or use the command C:\>shutdown -r
