I have always wondered this. If you have a mental disorder of whatever sort, do you at least have some idea that something is wrong with you, or that you're different? Let me know if you know anyone who knows they're crazy.

yes they know --wife is paronied schizophrenic by polar manic depressev has been for 30 yr.s & she knows we all do been togeather for 35 yr.s

It depends how crazy if they are insane then they dont have a clue but if they are just a bit "different" they may be aware of it. Sipposedly even highly functioning mongoloids know they are different

it depends on what your diagnosis is. when you are diagnosed with a certain illness, your whole life is based around the illness and you are crazy 24/7. you never wake up out of it. but otherwise you snap in a out of it.
i know that wasnt very scientific but its all i could remember from my social problems class
