ok...he seems to be gay, yes. if you were a male pirate, and you were out at sea everyday of your life with an ALL MALE crew, and you're in the sun letting you brains bake. i think you'd be a little gay too. and yes, capt. jack acts gay because that's how johnny depp felt the character needed to be played. but he may act gay (and even though he wears a type of eyeliner, doesn't mean he's gay. although it is a definate possibility), and since you've seen the movies, you would know that he's not because of the women that slapped in him in the first one and the kiss with you know who (i don't want to give any spoilers. lol) in the the second one. he totally is just like a womanizer. but who knows, it could just be the rum going to his head. ;) i ⥠those movies. johnny depp is amazing.

Johnny Depp said in an interview he mixed a whole lot of different people together to come up with Jack's character, and I think part of it was someone who was gay. Though Jack is most definitely not gay, being that all the women keep slapping him, and he kissed Elizabeth in the second.

I don't think that the character was intended to be perceived as homosexual. I think he carries himself that way because he's the eccentric Captain Jack Sparrow. I love him, I find him very entertaining.
