be there an hour to an hour and a half early, since its your first time you have to soak up the experience and make sure you have enough time to do that.also if you want to escape traffic on the way home youll want to leave a little bit early so you should get there earlier

Depends on how important the game is. Regular season against a normal team would be about 30 to 45 minutes. A game against a big rival I would lean more toward the 45 to an hour mark. Playoff games at least an hour.

Since it is your first time, I would say 1 hour before game time. It will give you a chance to walk around the arena and enjoy all the different things the arena offers (ex. Shops, food place). And also, depends on which Arena you are talking about give yourself time for traffic. For example, Arco Arena where the Kings play, easy to get into and out. But Staples Center is more of pain finding parking and manuevering through L.A. traffic. Have fun!

We usually leave home two hours before the game. We only live about 30 minutes from the arena, but we want to compensate for traffic and finding parking, and then walking to the arena.
