An ipod is an mp3 player, but an ipod is made by apple and some of them not only play music, but take pictures, and have video capability.

Many other companies make mp3 players but ipod is the best as it holds more music without having to buy disks or batteries for it.

Ipod is a brand of an mp3 player. It's basically an MP3 player but now it comes with all sorts of extras in it like games, video player, world clock etc. This along with the brand name associated with it makes people regard it as more than just an MP3 player but agian even Ipod is basically just an MP3 player
