Medical school comes after obtaining your bachelor's degree. A reputable medical school would not allow you to take these courses online. They need to be through a fully accredited organization. Yes, the lab portion is very important.

There are several schools that offer these types of courses through distance education. However, I would not suggest that you take any lab courses through distance ed. I would make a point of getting to a campus to do those. But, you can do your usual general ed stuff through distance ed no problem. Just do your research and make sure that all of your courses will be used toward a degree.
