don't be embarrassed, it a girl thing so I'm sure she will understand and be happy you come to her. if you cant bring your self to ask her go into a professional bra shop and ask them for some advice and help, they will measure you up and point you in the right style and shape direction. Remember don't be embarrassed in front of them, they are professionals and its there job, keeping in mind yours isn't the first chest they have see. good luck.

Talk to your mom about getting a professional fitting. Most of the time a properly fitting bra will give you the lift that you need. I watched a show on Oprah about how 90% of the women are wearing the wrong size bra, and I laughed at how rediculous that was. But for kicks and giggles I got the fitting done. I was way off in the whole size I was wearing and I walked out with a pair of knockers I could be proud of. Just by getting the right fitting bra! Good Luck!!!

Most girls tell their moms everything! She should be you best friend.
However, if you are truly embarrassed, just tell her you want to go shopping for underwear. Then when you are there, simply pick up the padded type of bra. Or ask her for some cash to buy a bra, go to the shopping mall with a friend and buy it with her.
It is better not to choose the ones with underwire. The non underwired will probably be more comfortable. Almost forgot, choose the types with at least two clasps . Usually those are the better quality ones.

Really nothing to be embarrassed about. Your mom has breasts, too, so she understands the need for a bra. Obviously you don't want TOO much padding or you start looking weird. I think all women should at least wear lightly padded bras, because on cold days, women with padded bras on don't have to worry nearly so much about embarrassing nipple incidents.

Start by being honest with Mom. As long as you don't want to wear such a padded style that would make you look like a 34EE - Tell Mom that you would like to wear a bra that has a little "form" to it, so that your natural "bumps" won't show thru your Tshirts, and lightweight tops. Good Luck

Just open up to her. You dont even have to mention the padded part, just ask her to take you shopping for new bras. Then when you get to the store, find the ones you like. Im sure she wont comment on them.

if u are in the mall or something just wander into the bra section and say "would this look good on me?" or buy ur own if you can.
it took me too long to say something to my mom about any under garments. i was always embarrassed to talk to my mom about any kinds of stuff. just get it out there. or maybe mention something about colors? don't worry she is a woman too. she knows all about that stuff.

Buy it yourself online
Go to safeway, and buy yourself an american exxpress or visa gift card with your money/allowance, and then shop online for it at any number of stores.
Or, ask to be dropped off at the mall to do some holiday shopping, and buy it yourself.
Or, you could justask her in a letter or on a holiday gift wish list.
But with the first two, you wont be said no to
