I have a computer with a memory card slot, and i was wondering if I buy a memory card/micro sd card for my lg cu500 cell phone, can i put it in the slot and transfer the music that way, instead of buying the usb cable?

This may work if your computer has iTunes software or
something similar. Try researching this on this website...

Yes, as long as your memory card will fit into the computer the LG CU500 uses drag and drop technology for music playing (If you use Napster or Yahoo Music you will need to use their software program to load your music because of the music key system, and you will have to sync your card every thirty days to continue to listen to those songs on your phone)

Also, the phone will only support up to a 2GB card.

Yes, you need a mini SD card, same for my phone. However the reason I haven't gotten one is because they are really expensive, like into the hundreds if you want one that will hold a lot of songs/memory.
