Any type of guitar is good for a beginner...Its whatever you feel most comfortable with. Although I do have to agree that its good to start on an acoustic or acoustic/ electric(w/o the amp)- that way you arent annoying ur family or roomate when you are making mistakes or missing notes as you practice. I started out with just a regular acoustic...and I'm glad I did because nylon strings are harder to hold down and really help you build your hand strength faster. Even with steel strings you will build dexterity and hand strength though. Its all a preference of choice...some people think an electric feels wierd or an acoustic is too big and lunky feeling...I prefer either, or a hybrid of the two, like you have.

Well, it's a bit pricey, in my opinion, but I think it's alright. Saves you from buying an actual electric if you're into it. Just make sure that the gauge on the strings are the same as a normal acoustic. The best way to learn how to play guitar is through an acoustic. Have fun.

I could suggest an electrical. plus if the principal rationale for an acoustic is for impressing women and the rationale for electrical is since you particularly wish to play track then I'd cross with electrical. and sure, acoustic songs will also be performed with an electrical since so much amps will also be adjusted in order that it performs acoustically, however it does not have the equal suppose as an acoustic and there is a change in sound, however with the proper track, you would nonetheless galvanize a lady. as for studying the chords and notes, sure it particularly does rely at the character however it cannot take very lengthy. i do know a few folks who discovered many of the elementary chords very quickly in any respect and a few who took a whilst longer. And it is exceptional to begin with handy songs, probably the most so much wellknown songs are the simplest. it is going to take a whilst to particularly get well at guitar. I've been gambling given that i used to be nine and began with a primary act electrical. it is an handy topic of running your means up as you get larger.

No. Don't go electric until you know if the beginner actually takes to guitar playing. You can always upgrade later, but living with an electrified beginner.........................oh, my ears are killing me just thinking about it.

However, I am not a guitar player, so I may not be the best person to ask.

it would be ok.... its kind of the best of both worlds. On accoustics, you learn the fundamentals and accuracy while getting the smaller strings and volume of an electric, while still being to play w/o an amp.
