I believe the President will increase the troop strength, but if they are not allowed to conduct their mission as military, and keep the politicians out of it, they may as well stay home!1

I think he will ignore the proposals of the Iraq study group, and "stay the course" as he likes to say. I believe he will send more troops to Baghdad. I think this will only result in more casualties with no positive result. An increase in US troop levels and a sustained occupation will not make a difference in this civil war.

I hope America does. Americans forgot what happened in Vietnam, and needs to relearn it all again. Send more troops, send all the troops you can muster.
Oh yeah, and don't forget about Afghanistan. You're losing there too. Two Vietnams at the same time, and I bet Americans still won't get it. But keep sending troops. Some day you MIGHT get it.

I think he should send all avaible, and do the job right. In other words, let the Military be that and not a police force. And if ANY other country has troops there, out of uniform (like Iran, Syria, etc), let them be exacuted as spies.
