Make the message in the song simple and clear.
Use a memorable 'hook' line... one that will hit home and be memorable to the listerner.
Use some rhyme in the lyrics... its easier to remember.
Tell about something that is real to you.
Write ideas down on paper... go back to it over and over and ask the Spirit to make it live.
Put it to melody or ask a musician to do it.

you have to have a sort of an idea of a topic and a thought you want to get across to the listener. Having to do with a belief of faith,in God,or Jesus,and how you can be helped by it.most all the songs I play are country,or bluegrass Gospel.
