Hi, I'm guessing you have a new baby or you are expecting so congrats. I have a nine month old daughter and we use Boudrox's (sp?)(pronounced Boudreau's-mabey that's how its spelled) anyway and Aquphor for babies. We use the Boudreaus because it has the highest % of zinc oxide that we could find. The zinc oxide is apparently what protects against the chaffing. I'm not sure about the science of it. The aquaphor we use for little nicks or scratches, and tiny rashes. These two together seem to cure everything. The aquaphor is really just a petroleum jelly. But hey, it works. We havent ever had to deal with diaper rash. I think alot of it is that we are diligent when it comes to changing diapers.

We swear by A & D Ointment. It is smoother and much easier to apply than Desitin, and smells nice, and will completely heal a diaper rash in less than a day!

Well, I'm glad there's someone else out there with an anal leakage problem. I like to use desatin cream in my diapers. I had to switch to the big diapers after I was having too many accidents in my pull-ups version for adults. Now, my big-kid diapers have a little bit of cotton to absorb the excess fluid rather than having it drip onto other areas and irritate my skin. If I run out of desatin, I use talcum powder, lavender - scented. it covers up the smell too, lol:)

I use Palmer's Bottom Butter. I have to use it for my son because it is one of the few that doesnt have Zinc in it. All the others that do have the zinc, makes him break out worse. o dont know why that is, he just seems allergic to it. It has a sweet smell to it unlike the funky smells the others put off. The name is a plus as well!

I use A&D because that was the only one that worked for my kids. Luckily I got several samples of cream when I was pregnant with my first son so I was able to decide without spending a fortune. I can also use it as a barrier cream at night time.
