At the beginning no one ever said anything about "establishing" a democratic form of government there. A moron would have known that such a task would be impossible given the centuries old sectarian nature of that part of the world. How is it that a supposedly intelligent country such as the United States could get itself into such a mess as me are now in. The stupidity of this President is just mind boggling. The Congress is just about as bad in letting this country be invaded by 12 million illegal aliens.

During the Saddam era around 7 thousand innocent people died in Iraq over a period of 14 years.
After Saddam left 250,000 innocent people died in 3 years under the US sponsored liberation.
We want to take this figure to about 1 million.

We are still there because we can't dismantle a government and the infrastructure of a country and then just leave people to fend for themselves. The Iraqi people don't deserve to be left in a state of anarchy and we're trying to do something about it, regardless of how effective our efforts are.

I'm not sure it does a whole lot of good to question why we did it. I think we did it and now we need to fix it as opposed to wasting our breath speculating would of/should of ideas.

I keep asking the same questions too.

It'll put everything in perspective if the media every now and again published the original reason for attacking Iraq and each new reason and the date it was changed or added in.

Something like a timeline for every one to see how we were scammed.

The people George decided to 'liberate' are now fighting him and each other and are dying in great numbers.

What?! We took away their dictatorship so it would be nice if we helped them set up their goverment without the very terrorists that attacked our country. As for the illegals they are the next presidential pawn so no one in their right mind is going to touch that one. If you think things are so bad move to Canada!

Americans are complacent and lazy. These days if it doesn't affect a person directly, nobody cares. I hope we wake up soon.
