Yes, of course. She had to learn as The Princess of Wales. What kind of Princess of a country would she have been had she not been able to speak the language of her own country?

When she first was engaged, she did not speak Welsh and it showed, lol. She gave her first Welsh speech very hurriedly and rapidly and was greeted with much warmth from the Welsh. However, she took diction and speech lessons from Sir Richard Attenborough after that. Over the years I'm sure her Welsh improved with each visit. You can see her Welsh speech in video clips and on the Discovery and History Channels.

They did a week-end of Royalty last month and that's how I got to see her speaking Welsh, and saw her give her speech.

Doubtful. Most people that are not Welsh by blood do not speakthe language. In fact the speaking of the Welsh Tongue was a criminal offence there for many years and it was only recently that the law was changed. That being the case, the language was taught to successive generations in a secretive and underground manner and outsiders were almost never privy to it. In truth even in Wales itself not everyone spoke the language for that very reason.

I did like Princess Diana, i presumed she turned right into a real individual and knew a thanks to communicate to the guy interior the line with out appearing to be the 'severe royal' that she became. i imagine she also had a being concerned nature and he or she became no longer afraid to tutor how a lot she cared about her charities and her own 2 sons. What she did in own life became her agency, for me and to some thing else of the international she confirmed a being concerned woman. It turned right into a sad day at the same time as she became killed interior the line coincidence, I also do no longer trust any of the conspiracy matters that are doing the rounds.

Yes she did. I recall a speech she gave at Canaervon Castle, in Welsh, it was her first attempt at the language and was greeted by raptuous applause :-)
