The United Nations shouldn't be permitted to do anything.

No. The United Nations has PROVEN time and time again how corrupt they can be and how much money that they already STEAL from programs designed to help the less fortunate.

Giving the U.N. more money would do nothing but increase the corruption within the U.N. itself. The United Nations is a lame orginazation that has outlived its usefulness....

Why don't YOU send YOUR money to the U.N.. I'm sure they won't waste any of it.

No. The UN has allowed itself to become impotent. It should be disbanded, much like the League of Nations was, and reformed with its mandate rewritten.

Since you were obviously referring to the United States, you should look up who pays the lions share of the UN's expenses.

Also, feel free to send the UN money. Ted Turner donated a BILLION DOLLARS to them.

The UN will never live up to its potential, and will continue to steal money from the intended recipients (Like Kofi Annan's son did in the Iraq food for oil scam)

Absolutely not. The United Nations is a front for terrorists. It is also the frame work for a world government. It is dangerous to our freedom.

What a silly idea. United nations is not a government. When it does try "help" it is either ineffective like in Dar-fur or completely corrupt like in the Oil for Palaces er I mean food program.

No *******way. Money is a means of control, once that happens we will lose our sovereignty (whats left of it) and become completely subservient to the corrupt UN. Our excursion in Iraq is no more than an attempt to complete the actions mandated by the UN at the end of the first gulf war than anything to do with the suppression of terrorism. 'Nuf said

Let me see Kate, are you asking that Govts. allow the UN to tax their countries ? won't work !

BUT;

Maybe the USA should be telling other countries to start catching a fair amount of the cost for all missions sanctioned by the UN. You have a lot of UN member countries that are there to p/u their welfare checks, and don't give a crap about anything going on in the world...... LOL :- )

I suppose that you would also be willing to let the U.S. government to tax you at a high rate and give it to the poor. If people want to give to the poor, then it should be of their own free will, not mandated by the UN, or any type of government.

No nation should be taxed by an outside source. It takes away their sovereignty.
