I accidentally got a baby apple snail (im guessing on the species here because its so small) in the same container as my betta fish and im wondering if it needs an air pump?

I dont think its a pest snail since i got my Betta at Petsmart :P Unless petsmart carries those? O.o Thanks though, i know now that she (or he?) doesnt need an air pump, but i did separate her from the Betta just in case he decides to eat it. :) I dont think I'll be seeing any more since its just one and not a pair of snails though. thanks!

Nope, it will be fine without an air pump.

However, it may not be an apple snail, it is more likely to be a pest snail, like a ramshorn snail. They aren't bad for the aqarium, but you may see many more soon.

No, but they breathe oxygen so make sure you have a lid and a space for it to breathe.
