Where can I find an application for a Mexican passaport? My mother-in-law wants to come here to visit her grandchildren and needs a Mexican passaport. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Pues, no todos los gringos somos ignorantes. We know were to get a passport. If your mother-in-law is in Mexico, she would need to go to the Mexican Consulate there. Note people....Mother-in-law indicates that this person may or may not be hispanic.

Ok, I appologize for my mommentary stupidity... it's just that sometimes racist and xenophobic comments make me angry.

First, she needs to fill out this form, and go to any Mexican bank to pay the fee:

http://www.sre.gob.mx/pasaportes/documentos/hojaayudapasap.pdf

Then, she must go to her nearest SRE office with any of the following documents:

1. Birth certificate

2. Certificate of naturalization (if this applies)

3. Naturalization letter

Along with a photo ID such as:

1. IFE credential (she will know what this is)

2. Certificado de estudios de la SEP

3. Cedula profesional

Also, she needs to take 3 photographs, passport size, white background, uncovered face (w/o glasses, earrings, etc)

When she is in the SRE office, they will tell her where to wait, deliver documents, etc..

PS.. Once again, sorry
