I've changed my security settings turned off my norten security but every time I open up my yahoo games and try to play spades i can open up the table BUT i cant join a table says a popup blocker. please help me

Try holding down the control key when you click on the join link. That normally turns off the pop up blockers

Turning off your Norton Security is a big mistake. If your computer setting are correct Norton will not be a problem.
IE has a popup blocker. Yahoo Toolbar has a popup blocker. Google Toolbar has a popup blocker. Other toolbars and browsers have popup blockers.
If you have these other toolbar and/or browsers then check for one of them blocking the the popup you need.
If you do not have the other stuff then you may need to add the site to the popup blocker in Internet Options>Privacy tab>Popup Blocker Settings button>add the website URL to allow the popups.

most brower have pop up blocker, you could go yahoo and download yahoo tool, the download include pop up blocker or if you have ATT they have a pop up blocker too, these are all free, you could also go to CNET download you could find some free pop up blocker there

If it is the windows firewall try the CTRL + ALT keys hold them down and click on the link
