I find this amazing when it comes to the questions of whether there is life on another planet.

i agree. there is no way to calcute all stars and planets. even the best grusses say that the odds of life are almost certin.

No. There are not an infinite number of square miles on the surface of the world, but the surface of the world has no boundary. That is because the 2 dimensional surface of the world is curved in the 3rd dimension. Similarly the 3 dimensional universe is believed to be curved in a higher dimension and so have finite volume but no boundary.

I personly believe the number of stars and planets is always on the rise but I dont think infinite stars or planets can ever happen. Understanding the concept of infinity is probably one of the hardest things if not the hardest thing to grasp and I dont think anyone really has goten it compleately yet or ever will.

Well.. this may not make much sense, but this is my gut reaction.

For an infinite number of stars and planets, you'd need an infinite ammount of material.

If there were an infinite ammount of material, it would be everywhere.

no...although there may be an unlimited amount of space, there is not unlimited mass....so there isn't a umlimited number of stars, etc
