i would like to find out if he likes me or not but i need to find out soon because i might not stay in CA very long and i am only 10 11 but my school feels like high school and i am only in the 5th grade

I think you should start off slowly ... just try to hang with him... and give out some signs that you like him. If he responds, great.. if he doesn't.. well.. as you know.. boys mature a lot slower than girls do. He may be too shy or too immature to show his feelings. But at your age, I do believe friendship is a great starter.
