I ask this because last semester in my Social work course there was a Black girl in my class that had a White boyfriend. He would meet her after class and everytime the White girls would give them dirty looks and stare. I was suprise, I'm use to seeing it the other way around.

exocet 75 you shouldn't generalize not all Black people hate White people or vice versus. I don't hate anyone regardless of race, nationality, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, size/looks/ or even attitude/personality.

You know it happens. I often wonder how we survive as humans when we cannot even get past color which is pretty lame. Genetically we are all 99% alike with the exception of color, and yet that has to transcend everything. It is a crying shame.
When I married back in 1970 I did not like the way people looked at me and my wife, I did not see a problem, she is Hispanic and I am Caucasian but it did exist and when we were down south those fine whites would not wait on her in a department store. So do I hate whites when I am one, no but I feel bad for society when almost forty years later it is the same old stuff.
Every race in society has beauty to it, and yet we have to have tiny little brains that carry hate and contempt for another human being. What can be said, other than consider the source and go on with life.

I'm sure some do, but I don't think most do, and I think some do because they feel somehow rejected. ... There are a lot of stupid/insecure people in the world.
I would probably look too, but just because i'd be curious. I don't have a problem with it. I just think it'd be interesting because I don't see interracial couples very often. I think people and their families are all at least a little bit racist and usually choose to be with people that are the same race. So I think it's interesting when I see people who aren't like that.

Scary, ain't it? Better hope we never face an intergalactic threat upon the whole Earth from a race of hostile aliens, Humans are too piddly minded to accept eachother and come together to even stand a chance. This is actually #345 of my 400 biggest fears.

Yeah, you wouldn't believe how many dirty looks and stares I recieved when I was sitting on the college campus with my white friend. He wasn't holding my hand or anything wer were just sitting there, and people had a problem with it. I think it's because some people aren't used to change, that's all.

I guess they are not learning much in the social work course. It sounds like they are in the wrong profession if passing judgment on lifestyles. People need to mind their own business. I am glad that there are people out there who see past skin color.

Doesn't bother me a bit. This is the opposite but when I worked at Walgreens there was this adorable looking young couple that came in all the time. He was black & over 6 ft, she was white & 4'11. They made such a nice looking couple.

People often dislike what they don't see often or understand.
I think it is normal to look at anything you don't see all the time.
It is called curiosity.
When people judge others for the size of their body, (fat, midget, skinny) it is wrong. When people judge people by their race that is just wrong, wrong, wrong.

I'm sure some white girls do. Some people are just not comfortable seeing people date outside of their race-which is unfortuate...

OMG, yes. My friend is white and her boyfriend broke up with her about six months ago. He is now dating a black woman and she's jealous. She goes on and on about how black women need to stay with their own men, I'm tired of hearing her complain.
