what does that mean we`re responsible to vote and chose leader of our country at age of 18 and we`re irresponsible to drink alchahol at 18?

That is messed up because you can join in the military and fight for this messed up country at the age of 17 + but can not drink. That is a good question.

I think it's because they know they can get fines on you for underage drinking even if it's just a beer. If you can vote and be sent war at 18 then you should be able to go get a drink when you want. Or else they should change the voting and enlistment age to 21.

I don’t have a clue. I think the voting age should be 21 too, because most (not all, but most) 18-year-olds don’t know enough about politics to make a truly informed voting choice.

the change took place in the 60s. they had the voting age at 21. the problem was with that was they trust the kids with guns to fight in vietem but not to vote. they changed it to 18. it did help out the drinking problem thought,

well before we were able to drink at 18 here in the USA but due to to many drunk fatalities of drunk driving they feel if at 21 you are a little more grown up an will make a better choice of driving drunk

yeah, your responsible at 18. but your liver isn't developed enough until 21. its not a responsibility matter, its a health matter.

lol that's sooo true....lol yea that's the same w/ how we can smoke at 18 but have to wait until 21 to drink...i mean smoking is more harmful! lol but you're right! lol lmaooo
