When I play the "d" string on my electric guitar, it viborates after.
If I hold one of the machine heads it doesn't viborate any more.
I have tried to tighten them but it doesn't help.

There's no "o" in "vibrates"

1.Check and see if your string is resting in the grooves of the bridge and the nut like its supposed to be.

2. Replace that string

3. Take the guitar to a guitar shop and have them adjust the action of the strings. The action may be too high or too low right now. You also may have uneven frets or a warped neck, but lets hope not.

You didn't mention what kind of guitar you have. There was a vibration on my Fender Stratocastor and it need an attenuation set on it, but when I purchased a Gibson Les Paul autographed from Metallica...my problems of vibration did'nt exhist. This guitar literally shreds and talks to you as you play it.
It can be heard in my song Sunny Daze...just check out my mypage and blog.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you are talking about, but you should check the bridge and the tuning knobs...make sure they are screwed all the way down and if that doesn't work, just bring it to a reputable guitar shop and have them look at it. They might find a quick fix and have it back to you that day if they aren't too busy...

You need to take your guitar to a tech. Could be many different (minor) issues, such as a tuner that needs adjustment, a neck nut that needs to be adjusted, frets that need a look see by someone who knows their stuff, or as simple as a professional setup.

your not holding the string down tight enough. If this doesnt work the bridge may be broken. I recomend buying a new string.
