I'm in the same boat. I have been off of the birth control for quite a while and nothing is happening. I am getting a bit discouraged because I keep starting my period 2 weeks early. Well, basically, I am having it twice a month. I just don't even see how my body can have a chance to conceive if this keeps happening. I know I can have children, I have a healthy 5 year old and had no complications. but I am getting a bit discouraged. I hope that this works out for you. I love to see when people try for a long time and it finally happens. some people I know tried for 4 years and finally had a baby...a very healthy pregnancy and very healthy baby boy. So keep your head up and trust that when the time is right, it will happen. I know...I need to practice what I preach...I am anxious as well. I'll keep you in my prayers!

My friend and I started trying to conceive at the same time. I got pregnant within two weeks. She was so upset. She did get pregnant but I had another baby two months before her baby was born. Yes, my two younger children are only a year apart.
I used the hormone free IUD before trying to conceive while she used the pill. I think it depends on the person, what contraceptive they were using beforehand, stress level, health level, if their cycle is normal/regular, etc...
She almost gave up but stuck with it. Give it a little more time. If after the two year mark you still haven't conceived talk to your doctor. Just don't give up before talking to your Dr . I didn't think I was ever going to be able to have chlidren but now I have four.
You must also make sure you know your cycle and all that. There is only a 24 - 48 hour window each month that you can conceive.

Your not going to want to hear this but maybe its just not the right time. I have 2 kids. One is 13 the other is 6 months. I gave birth to my second child 13 yrs 1 month and 15 days after I had his sister. I also only had the two pregnancy's. I wanted another child but it just wasnt happening and I did not want to use science to have a child either it happened or it didnt. Luckily it happened, when we were least expecting it.If you are so concerned go get checked and have the father have his sperm count done. Good luck

Sometimes it can take awhile. Check with your doctor and see if anything isn't wrong with you or him. Don't give up either way. After my first shot of depo it took me six years to finally get pregnant. I am eight weeks now and due July. :) I had given up entirely and then a month later I was pregnant. Good luck and don't forget to have fun with it.

Maybe you are doing something wrong. You have to learn when you are ovulating. Look at www.mymonthlycyles.com, You can chart your periods and it can help you find out your ovulation days. It there is no success try speaking to a OB/GYN they can help you figure out the problem and have some way to help improve it. Stress plays an important role also. The more you stress the worst your chances are to conceive.Good Luck

Firstly, are you having normal cycles. Irregular cycles make it harder to conceive...Talk to you gyno and have a full series of cbcs ect....BBT charting also Helps..I conceived # 2 that way...I also have a 3 yr old..
Here are some links to check out. Also assuming you have the same partner, there is a condition known as secondary infertility...... hostile cervical mucus....
talk w/ ur dr

Probably because you are so stressed out about it. Relax chill and enjoy the process of making babies.
One presumes that both parties are in full working order. Have you bothered to check with your GP
