it all depends on the size and design of your house, but usaully no most houses only have one hot water heater, but if you were to have a multistory house you may want to have more then one so you dont have to run the water as long to get hot water at the fuacet, like i said it all depends on size and style of house ,but they have newer hot water systems that dont have tanks and are more energy efficent and provide an endless amount of hot water they are more expensive to buy but equalize the cost in the long run by not keeping a 20 gallon tank hot

Nope. Number of bathrooms don't determine number of water heaters. I have seen 2 water heaters in house, but those are usually because of solar heating. Second tank is more of storage than heater.

Nope usually just one water heater. I know you could install an additional one but that not only would cost more money but may be a hassle and may cost more for your water bill each month. My parents home used to have 2 water heaters and 2 furnaces(1 of each for upstairs and downstairs). It was such a pain for them cuz they got 2 bills each month.

Nope, there's only room for 1. It's likely that it may be a larger capacity, but there wont be multiples.
