Aphid are pretty easy to kill ... no need for harsh pesticides. Use Safer Soap. It's a good idea to go with a clean up application in 3 to 4 days to make sure you get any new hatch.

Be sure to do the following in a non-sunny area to prevent leaf burn.
1) Take a garden hose and give the aphids a good jet of water...careful of the plant.
2) The next day examine for aphids...there will likely be a few around...apply Safer's soap...Endall or Trounce are good.
3) Continue on a weekly cycle til they are all gone....remember aphids are born pregnant!

Ladybug beetles are the natural predator of aphids.
Contact your Organic garden center and ask them if they carry live ladybugs. If not, they should know where to order them.
You release the beetles in the garden in the are infested with aphids. Your beetles should eat their fill, and the result will be aphid free plants all around.

shame on you David G. The ants are FARMING the aphid, not eating them. They use the milk to feed their youthful this is why you word them going up and down the stem of the plant. decrease back to the point although. Ladybirds are an suited answer yet do not assume them to stay the position you position them! otherwise maximum backyard centres and DIY shops ought to have plant pleasant computer virus killing sprays. think ofyou've got to save up the spraying although cos spray gained't kill the aphid eggs.

The ladybugs are the best idea. However, you want to release them at dusk. This prevents them from leaving. They will stay the night there and call it home. If you do this in the daytime, they may leave to find a different home.
