I only celebrate because people always want gifts from me. I might as well make a party out of it if I have to go broke for these people!!!!

We've always celebrated Jesus. Some of our friends also have presents delivered from St Nick, but on a different day, so as not to take away from the real meaning of Christmas.
Merry Christmas! and Happy Birthday Lord.

No religion. We celebrate this as a tradition, but it is truly a time to reflect on our behavior and our charity as a family over the past year.

even as the entire lifestyle celebrates a vacation and employer grinds to a halt on that day it takes a significant attempt to not have a good time it. i'm getting a tree, change presents, have a kinfolk dinner and bypass to activities. i do not pray in the front of a statue of the toddler Jesus. i do not see what the issue is. The issues I do to mark the vacation haven't any non secular value by any skill.

Not for religion. For the yummy Italian seafood on the Eve , the tradition of pretty lights and now, for my children. Though this year I am toning it down and vacationing in the Caribeen- which I think sends a message to my children of its importance regarding family first.

for religious ppl, yes they do celebrate for religious purposes...
but for those who are not in that particular religion,,(like me),, they just celebrate it for the fun of getting presents and spending time or holiday with family and friends.....

Me personally, I'm not religious, but it's about family to me. I live near St Louis and my family is in Alabama. So we finally get together once a year and it's nice.
