I love my cashmere and wool sweaters, but I hate when they start pilling. I've used disposeable razors in the past, but find they don't work too well. How do you do it? Do you know of a gadget that works well?

I bought one of those sweater shavers, they seem to work as well as anything. Before buying one, I would have to "pluck" them off individually. That sucked.

Everyone is on the right track here with those clothes shavers. They aren't like the disposable kind they are battery operated. But just skim it softly across the surface of the sweaters and try to keep the material spread out flat so you don't get it caught in the shaver and make a hole.(experience talking here) It is really easier to use than I might make it sound but they work so good you will want the larger size as well for blankets and bedspreads and even rugs. These shavers made great Christmas presents for all the ladies on my list one year too. Man, you'd think I was getting part of the profits the way I'm talking huh? But anything that makes life a little easier for us girls is a plus!! Have fun! You shouldn't need much luck!!

treat them right.cashmere an a razor!!! makes me cry!!! You should hand wash these and dry them flat. Store in a garment bag in cool dry place. AS for the fuzz balls, if its cashmere, to me its time to buy a new one.

The wool sweaters wash and dry the same but using a shaver is alright but lol my ole man reminded me, try his beard trimmer.

Buy a clothes shaver from WalMart or Kmart. It's usually around where they stock clothes hampers and hangers.
