Im 6 weeks pregnant, and you know that feeling when you shave down there and when the hair starts to grow back it's itchy? Well I have that ALL the time! It is really starting to annoy me, I cant go in public without having to itch down there. I was just at the docs yesterday and there is no problems ( no yeast infetions or anything weird) Anybody ever had this probelm? what could be going on? And what can I do about it? Please help! And for the smart people, I shower everyday, sometimes twice, so I am clean down there!

This sucks i know but...This is what i did! Wear only cotton panties, also try to put baby powder on the liner part, another thing that helps my is wearing a thin panty liner and dont shave... I have the same problem, I think that the small amount of discharge through pregnancy makes us itch but baby powder REALLY HELPED Good luck!!!

Gosh...I dunno I didn't have this problem in the first part of my pregnancy...now that I'm further along, I'm itching in all kinds of places(mostly my belly) but I never really itched "down there". Try taking an oatmeal bath and ask your doc about a safe lotion or creme that you can put in the area. Be sure and wear cotton panties so that the area can "breathe" and even go without perhaps when you go to bed. Don't wear overly tight clothing, don't use any harsh soaps and use unscented toliet paper.

Wish I could help you more.

It could just be the hair folicles growing back...That makes me itch... Or an allergic reaction to the type of panties you are wearing..Try cotton only and stay away from thongs until the problem goes away... HOpe this helped..

It sounds to me like a result of your hormones changing.Your skin is becoming dry, I would talk to your OB/GYN about a skin moisturizer or drinking more water. If it is just the pubic mound that itches it is probably dry skin. Also you may be having a reaction to your soap now that you are pregnant.Try changing to a milder brand.

Try some Gold Bond Powder or Baby Gold Bond. They have a refreshingly cool tingle.

Ask your doctor for a prescription for an anti itch medication. I had the same problem but I can't remember the name of the medication.

Did you shave your pubic hairs? if so, then if they start to grow back then of course they will be itchy! Don't shave down there anymore, especially if you are pregnant. The pubic hair is there to catch and prevent bacteria.
