goofy is not a dog.... it's a ..... Disney character! they are almost like gods and they can do anything but is not in our world.... what a weird things people make for kind, no wonder why teenagers thing they are like super heroes

He was patterned after the late actor Fred MacMurray who made a great many Wonderful World of Disney Appearances so the dressed up a character to look like him.

LOL! I thought I was the only who thought this was bizarre. When I was a kid I'd ask my mom the same question and she'd just think about it for awhile and changed the subject after uncomfortable silence. To this day I honestly don't know but I think its kind of cool how Disney keeps people in the dark about that one. A sense of mystery is always nice.

goofy is a dog he however is not a pet therefore he can live where ever he want and technically i guess anywhere a dog lives is a dog house right.

Goofy is actually a cow. I forget where I learned this, but I also remember them referencing his 'girlfriend' Clarabelle Cow.

pluto pissed Disney off early in their relationship. Walt Disney told him he would never talk in any of his cartoons and so he had to be a pet.
