Today is a new day
Today is the day I died and reborn myself for the first time.
I ran myself ragged.
I ran myself jaded,
With disrespect and sever neglect
With surplus negativity without positivity
I cried, I lied, I killed myself inside
Falling deeper and faster, to go up was too rough
I didn’t love myself enough
With wasted years, countless tears, pushing everything away
All I did was fall into disarray
I turned my world into confusion
All that remained was dissolution of everything that was
Good
I had no idea what I was doing but now it’s
Understood.

Today is the day I died and reborn myself for the first time.
I wake up self-respecting
Without interjecting
My peaceful state of mind
I will love myself before anyone else
Just like a newborn child.
I’m my own best investment as I look up with contentment
The long hard road ahead
It’s a good thing the part of me that was killing me is now
Dead

Read "Hunter S. Thompson" - Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. That's pretty original. It's a lot better than the movie. Listen to "Keller Williams" "Laugh" - it's very original, (CD - music) or "Loudon Wainright's" "Nice Guys" - it's hilarious. (CD - music)
Look at some artwork by Salvador Dali or M.C. Escher. Read a book called "The Descent" - (author?) or anything by H.P. Lovecraft. Watch "Lightninng In a Bottle" (CD - Music video) and see the best of the blues done by the best bluesmen and women. It's awesome! Directed by Martin Scorcese - avail. at Hollywood Video. Worth the trip.

Nothing is original as everything is inspired or motivated by something else and therefore is part of a process which already exists.
Having said that, there can be original interpretations of an existing idea or concept.
Would a refusal to comply with your request be considered original?
