My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years. We have a 3 year old daughter and we have been through a lot of things. But for some strange reason he hasn't popped the question yet. I am ready to jump the broom. Any suggestions on what he might be waiting on or what he is afraid of?

He's not going to marry you as long as he gets what he wants without making the commitment.... and probably not anyway. You either live with him as you are forever.... or dump him.

You might also check out the laws in your state on common law marriage.... you might already be married! In some states you just have to be living in the same domicile and openly tell people you are married... as in introducing yourselves as a married couple.

That way, if you break up.... you will have the same rights to property and money as any other wife.

Best Wishes,

Sue

A full committment.
He's afraid of marriage period.
I was with someone for almost five years and finally I left, I couldn't take it anymore and now I found someone else and we are happily married.
The man I left after five years, he is still single and it's been almost four years since we broke up. Go figure!
Some men just never want to take that step.
I would talk to him about marriage and see what he saids. Tell him you love him deeply and have been thinking about marriage. Ask him his views on marriage and go from there.
Good luck!

He's not waiting...he is already living as if he's married but knows there isn't a real commitment and therefore free to do what he wants...

good luck with that...

you should ask him to marry you. He's already living as if married. Does he know you want to get married?
