what are your thoughts on porn? do you think it should be an acceptable component of society. do you not believe that porn could be the cause of vaious incidences of rape/molestation that occur in todays world.
also this may be a daft question, but have any of you starred in a porn film.... this could be home-made pornography or even commercial.

Yes I do believe it has a huge negative impact on society in the same way that extremely violent films/videos/games desensitises society and makes them (in particular kids and young people) immune to real life and de-humanises victims of specific crimes.

Pornography has been around in various forms since the beginning of time... look in any museum, history book etc, and sexual and pornographic depictions, objects, etc, are everywhere - pornograph is certainly not something which is new to society, it just changes along with technology.
I believe that if we banned pornography, we would be taking away a major aspect of sexual pleasure and release. Humans are highly sexual (the only species to have the female orgasm, the biggest male genitalia etc), and we need to satisfy our sexual urgesm whether through sex, masturbation, etc. Pornography is one way of doing this, and is only 'wrong' when people are forced against their will into a sexual act. As long as the participants in the film/magazine etc do so voluntarily, I can't see any harm in it being made. If we took pornography away, for many people, this would mean high sexual frustration, and the possibility that they would seek other ways of gaining sexual release - which might include assault or harming other people, if the person concerned was weak of will power or unchecked by the normal social constraints.
No - I've never starred in a porn film - but I've watched plenty - alone and with my husband.

Porn has helped people get away from their troubles, its like smoking, or eating too much pie when your depressed, its bad for you but we like it, I think porn is better for you then smoking, if anything, ban smoking. I happen to only like lesbian porn, 2 girls are better then 1, lol.
Shlane is 100% right, there are so many more things out there that are not only bad for you, but bad for the person next to you. Relax and watch some porn of your choice.

Healthy people don't really have a handle on all this garbage except live and let live, and let others watch porn till they are blue in the face or whatever. I am sure it has no affect on nutters anyway.

I hope in the United States pornography will be illegal , Cartoon pornography is illegal and so is online gambling , here.
I believe a certain percent of molestation/rapes are caused by pornography. A man who never had a date, Watchs pornography obsessively and gets excited , knowing he can't get "any" he decides to rape some one.

this thing about porn being the cause of incest and rape is bullshit, for the simple fact that you are supposed to have common sense and bide by thhe norms of society...if u saw a commerncial about a dress does it mean that the commercial forced u to go robe a store to get a dress? no! people have a tendency to blame something.someone for their acts...if a girl wears a short skirt she wants to get raped, if u wear too much jewlery u just want to get robbed...it is the most purest bullshit i have ever heard...in my POV porn is just a sexual fantasy, say i have an anal fetish i can rent a porn concerning that...am i going to rape a girl anally? no! and if i do i ahve no one to blame but myself! if porn becomes illegal why not cigarettes, do u know how many people die from secodn hand smoking? why not ban alcohol? do u know how many people die from drunk drivers?

It's making the young ones life miserables in planet of apes.
How do we expect the young ones to survive with self lack of knowledge but keep on reproducing living human kind in planet of apes.
When they can't even look after themselves in planet of apes.

dude i have a boyfriend and i still look at porn it's not really a bad thing. everyone just likes it because it's always there for you to look at. in fact me and my boyfriend watch it together when we're not going at it. it's one of the best ways of entertainment...now as far as kiddy porn or old people porn ....no comment.
