Poverty is bred by corrupt people in power, do you agree?

If there is a worldwide policy to remove corrupt government officials, will it end hunger? Will the millions of dollars spent to aid third world countries finally reach the oppressed?

Poverty is a result of the accumulation of wealth in the hands of a few, leaving little for the rest. An inequal disposition of the earths assets, which belong equally to all.

Governments and politicians are mere pawns in this process, titular heads as it were. They are financed by BIG MONEY and answer to BIG MONEY. Hence party politics.

Come election time, it's the BIG MONEY who pays the campaign bills, and its the BIG MONEY who calls the policies that are implimented. Although a politician may campaign on some platform, like a 'red book' or white book, they're only ploys for the commoner, whereby the politician may get elected.

Once elected, that politician adheres to the party line, not the electorate's wishes, and the party line is dictated by the campaign financiers, BIG MONEY.

The world still has a predatorial philosophy, throwback to the dinosaurs. Any bueaocracy is a predatorial pyramid, as is the whole political process.

True democracy doesn't exist in the Western world, with maybe the exception of Switzerland where they have a form of plebiscite government. This is where everyone votes on everything, kind of bypassing the politicians "power".

Politicians are civil servants and are meant to be civil and serve us. DO THEY? No, they serve themselves, and serve themselves VERY WELL!

Generally speaking, Politicians should have no power as they are by nature predators, ie. lawyers mostly, and if not corrupt at the beginning, they soon become so. AND BEING PREDATORS, THEN WE ARE THE PREY!

There is no worldwide policy to remove corrupt officials, only to remove the blatancy of corruption. The nature of the position begs to be corrupted, and these predators benefit from this corruption.
Maybe the government has other reasons for disarming the population, maybe it's fear.

I have 2 kids, live in the country, with no work, on $155. /month and I can't even hunt for food.
Yet MY politician just voted himself a HUGE pay raise, and is now in the plus $100,000 bracket, has a nice Jag in his garage, which he doesn't drive at election time, doesn't look good.

I see millions of dollars going out of my country, dollars that I NEED, and can't access. It's great for the politician's EGO, giving away OUR resources, and the media eat it up for the photo op. Some joke politico trying to appear like a great humanatarian, when they're not even taking care of their own population.


Bringing in immigrants for cheap(slave) labor, is the solution for BIG MONEY, not the unemployed, thereby diluting and lowering the pay scale across the country. The govenment is pursuing lowering the living standard not raising it, as this directs the wealth to the BIG MONEY.

Take Nova Scotia, with privatizing Nova Scotia Power, to whose benefit? The government sold the energy sector to theirs corporate friends and sponsors, and we, the public, must pay exorbitant fees or die. In law, this is called extortion, however, but with gov approval, it's OK.

I have an income of $155/mth, and with two kids, my power bill will be $70-$80/mth, nearest food bank is kilometers away, no money for gas. There's no work here, and I can't afford even to leave. I need skill upgrading even to get a job elsewhere, but HRDC has no budget for white males.

I live in a third world country, Canada, and I'm oppressed. I don't see any millions spent to help me here. Why give to some dictator in some other country, because a bunch of politicians and snivel servants will get 'free' trips to exotic countries and be treated BIG while I am near starving with my kids, and we all have 'hands in our pockets'

So, maybe the government has an ulterior motive for disarming people.

There will always be corrupt government officials. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Even without the corruption in government, there will always be inequality and poverty. By nature human beings seek to rise above their neighbors, while at the same time looking down upon them as inferior.

NO..People are kept in poverty by corrupt people in power wanting to stay in power by having people dependent on them.

Poverty has many causes. Currupt leaders certainly contribute.

No, it is a lack of will to do better. This is an example of why social programs need to be revamped.
