My friend, I don't know who told you this, but it's definitely a big misunderstanding. Lonestar is still alive and well. In fact, I saw them in concert not too long ago. They also have their new album in stores now, Mountains. So, no, they're not dead at all.

no but some of the original members of lynyrd skynyrd died in a plane crash..maby you are thinking of them
