I can't really say. I think it would depend. I've known some fellows for whom this proverb is certainly true, and others for whom it is not. If you are a loyal person by nature, then no, this proverb is not true.
Then again, if you are the sort of person who would allow others to buy your loyalty, then the proverb IS true. So it can go either way. The proverb definitely made me think, though. Thanks!

Disagree. My hubby puts his pay in my bank account every week. His name isn't even on the account, just mine. And we've been happy for over 10 years now! He does keep money for himself, though. Gotta buy his weed you understand, lol.
