Dee gave many good suggestions to potential majors. Also, keep in mind that, in journalism, which is competitve, you need to get as much experience as possible. From the get-go, try to get some experience at the student newspaper, volunteer at a radio station - do anything and everything possible to put yourself above the other students who are in the same major. Its a cut-throat field, but worth it if you succeed.... Good luck!
