1. Being stressed out can cause you to miss a period.

2. An irregular cycle may look like a missed period at first. A few years ago I went from having a perfect 28 day cycle to suddenly having 7 week cycles occasionally. It was scary at first.

3. Menopause, which can happen as early as the 40s.

Stress;
Your particular chemical imbalance.
Your diet if you are into a lot of soft drinks, or alcohol and missing meals.
It could also be a normal once and a while occurance.

If you are taking medications. even or especially the over counter
drugs for flu , allegeries, colds. Some of these are murder on a body. it varries form individual; to individual. Mke sure you eat healthy and drink plenty of fluids.

Some type of bodily stress, either psychological or physiological will cause the body to bring about the desired change according to metabolistic damage level.

It is a compensatory affect when I mean by "desired". Meaning the body is equalizing itself to prevent furthur catastrophe.

Hormonal imbalances due to peri-menopause, tumors, thyroid imbalances, and stress. Many young and older women occasionally experience irregular periods from time to time. Usually it is not a serious problem. I would get it checked if it persists. Get well soon

Several factors: poor diet, emotional stress, over excersizing, and of course, the one you don't want to think about - pregnancy! Also, on the bleaker side, endometriosis, tumors,...etc. Sometimes it just happens. If you feel okay, you're diet's okay, and you're routine is basically normal, don't worry about it.

Stress
Starting menopause at a very early age.
Morbidly overweight - a 20-something year old had this problem years ago. I'm not sure if she still has the same problem.
