Before money eveolved, there was a barter system of exchange of goods and services between people. Since valuation of these became difficult, money was invented. There has to be some form of exchange for valuation of things/services of daily needs without which life would become impossible to live. No doubt that money has brought about its own problems. It may not the best medium of exchange but in the absence of better alternatives, it is there to stay.

Not really, unfortunately.
Many centuries ago, when people had no money, they paid (or got paid) in "natura".
And even then already there were the rich and the poor......the first category trying to do everything they could think of to get even richer, and the poor people struggling to get by, and also to get a better life.

Even if there were no money people would seem to require some measure of worth, whether it be other personal things or some form of service that could be exchanged.
Unfortunately, we can not just be, but rather there seems to have to be some way to know one's worth.

There would have to be some means of buying and selling and whatever it was would become as hard to obtain as money is today. So, no, it would be no better.

um.. that means we would have to trade things like the natives did...... and I don't want to trade some of my things.... so nah --- money was a good invention - except for the fact that mankind uses it as a way of power, and degrades another human using that power.
