For most home / office setups, you'll need a wireless NIC (in most newer notebook computers) and a wireless router ($40 and) that will hook into your DSL or cable modem.

However, my customers are getting "wireless" via the cell phone companies, at $50 per computer per month.

You would need at wireless card for a laptop, and a router to shoot the wireless connection to your wireless card. But if you have a desktop you would need a maybe wireless PC card, or a usb wireless and the same type of router.
