Every year I get my mom an ornament for her tree. It usually symbolizes something from the past year, like the year I went to New Orleans (before Katrina) I brought her back a southern belle ornament.

My sister and cousins and I must watch "A Christmas Story" at least once and taunt each other with, "You'll shoot your eye out!"

Ever since my sister got a cat 6 years ago she gets at least 1 cat themeed present every year (picture frame, socks, notecards, etc). We address it to the cat and the cat has her own stocking.

Our family is Italian and we have to have the 7 fish dinner on Christmas Eve.

Instead of eggnog our family makes home made Bailey's Irish creme liquor that we call "the brew." We are only allowed to make "the brew" at Christmas and only my mom, my dad, my sister and I know the recipe and we are NOT allowed to share it with anyone except any future husbands and children. It's the best thing ever--it goes down like chocolate milk and before you know it you're feeling very "merry."

Great question! THat just got me in the holiday spirit!

Quirky I do not know...but we leave cookies for Santa...Carrots for the reindeer...after the kids go to sleep take bites from both and leave reindeer prints on the floor...oh and almost forgot...we took soot from the fireplace and put it on the fireplace ledge. Our kids are now 24 and 26 and still expect when they are here for Christmas. And for the record my daughter loves Gaston....

Let's see-
We HAVE to watch the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol ( with Alistair Simm) on Christmas Eve. We have to have eggnog to toast with. It doesn't feel like Christmas until I listen to my Ren and Stimpy's Crock O' Christmas CD.
That's about it.
