depends on your style.
like parties or super smash brothers? get Wii,
other than that, if you like EA games or other war games, get a PS3. If you like better graphics, get a PS3.
if you're really into that motion sensing thing, and like playing games with other people, then the Wii is best.
If you like more complex storylines and an overall PC game feel, the PS3 wins.

Depends on you. First you have to look at the games you want on both systems, those released and what's in store in the future. Does the price of the PS3 or the Wii's "weaker" graphics in comparison to the 360 and PS3 bother you any? Do you plan on getting both eventually? If you do then you could get the Wii first (assuming the there're many games on it you want to play now) and wait for price drops on the PS3 unless of course there're more games right now that you'd like to play on the PS3 as oppose to the Wii in which case get the PS3 first and get the Wii later when more games you want come out. Regardless it is always a good advise to wait until a few months down the line to assure that all the bugs from the initial launch batch are worked out. At the same time there could be system and game price drops and even color selections.

Ok for one thing the Wii is going to get old fast with the whole total motion sencing thing. The PS3 controler does have tilt sencing in it but it doesn't totally rely on it. You can download PS1 games on it to play or transfer to the PSP. It has a online service just like Xbox live only it is free. The rumor about the faulty disc drives is totally false gamespot.com proved it wrong. Plus the PS3 is totally backwards compatable. That means PS1, PS2, and the new PS3 games. The Nintendo Wii doesn't even compare. GO FOR THE PS3!!!

go with a ps3, there's only so many things you can do by swinging a controller, its gonna have all the best titles and the best graphics of the 3 next gen. platforms, i would take wii out of the conversation and say its between xbox360 and ps3, not to mention the new grand theft auto will release for ps3 first, thats a deal breaker for me.

Get the Wii. It's a lot of fun, is a lot cheaper than the PS3, and you can download classic Nintendo games for it online.
I've had one since it first came out, and I'm quite happy with my decision to buy one. Great Console.

Thw wii will have more games when you think about not only what they are going to make for it and the old ones you can download for it too. Plus it's so much more affordable. I would advise to go to a gamestop or something and test drive them both and go from there.

the Wii you get more of a wrkout plus there games are better. its a fresh new idea I wouldn't eb surprised if there will be a psp2 rather soon. they seem to liek to come out with those just after christmas.

don't get a PS3 because something in the making line screwed up and now it can't read alot of disks.
