Noticed clicking from the starter on occasion andand now happens to not start. I tested the starter and all was well. I have replaced the ignition switch, and have yet to resolve the problem. What else could there be or what else can I do?

If the starter is Ok and the switch is good. you may have a problem with the nuetral safety switch.

The starter has a solenoid and that is what is clicking most likely. Take to starter to autozone or checker and they will check the unit for you at no charge or any auto parts store.

Clean the battery connections and check the battery voltage. Should be around 13 volts or above. The click is the solenoid which sometimes indicates a weak battery or dirty connections.

check connections at battery [this has a side terminal battery and you will have to disconnect the battery and remove the bolts from the cables to properly clean both and then have a look at the main ground[front side of bell housing] and body ground [follow smaller of double negative cables] clean/tighten these as required [have found both loose and corroded on many g.m cars]
also pay attention to the very small computer ground wire[s] at the said bell housing main ground location as a break here will render the fuel injection system useless
