I've tried so many different sleep medicines and I have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. I'm always tired except when I have to go to bed and I'm struggling to stay awake and alert at school or whatever else I'm doing. I'm only 14 and I'm tired of taking all of these different pills. Does anyone else have this or know what's wrong? My doctor can't figure it out and we've even had a bunch of blood tests done and they say I'm fine.

On weekends when I plan to sleep in to catch up on lost sleep, I wake up after about 9 hours of sleep and I'm still tired but I can't go back to sleep.

It sounds like you are getting too much sleep. I'd forget the pills! When I have trouble falling asleep I just take a long bath (bubbles if you prefer :) And the warm water will relax your muscles and help you fall asleep. Give it a try... What do you have to lose? : )

Well, sleeping odd hours can make you tired even after you've just gotten up not long ago. So, try to sleep regular hours, 8 or 9 hours a day, maybe arrange your pills so that they will not disturb your sleep. If it's keeping you awake, perhaps take it just before sleeping so it won't work on you while you are trying to do that.

To fall asleep just close your eyes and your mouth gently; suspend your tongue in the middle of your mouth, do not let your teeth touch and then go to your favourite place, nighty night in 10. Because you ovulate and menstruate you need vitamin A, D and an iron supplement to improve your energy and stamina levels.

Pills isn't the answer. Learn about sleep hygiene; start with the link below or google "sleep hygiene".

If you're using caffeine, stop (gradually--caffeine withdrawal will give you headaches).

If the above items don't work, your doctor should refer you to a sleep specialist.

YOu are oversleeping and when you do that you are more tired. Try to go to sleep earlier. Don't drink caffeine during the day because that will cause you to stay up during the night. Try Advil pm

ask your doctor for a sleep study. I had one done and they said I was not resting in the night. I was tired all the time. no matter how much sleep I got.
