what objects have you had stuck in your cast trying to get to an itch

Broken right arm, left wrist, right leg x2, right knee, three toes, right thumb x2..
I used a very very thin bamboo cane which was lovely and bendy and very use full.

I'm not making this up. I've spent about one-quater of my life in a cast on my leg. The longest period was for over five years. YEARS! I'm not kidding. Anyway, I had this plastic coated wire hanger that worked great. I had so much practice using that to scratch that I NEVER got anything stuck in my cast. Ever.

Thank God I have never had a broken limb...I could have broken both of my legs one time when I stood behind this car that was stuck on a curb and someone put a piece of plywood underneath it...yep the plywood flew out and hit both my legs...I just had knots on them for several years but that is all...I was very lucky!

ive only broken one limb, my arm across the elbow! didnt get a cast got a replacement metal joint and an 8inch scar instead

By mistake I scratched myself with a steak knife (totally hurt!) and I bled alot and when they took the cast off, i had the majorest infection and they sliced off that part of skin and was told that If I was that stupid again it may cost me my life!

Chopsticks, scissors (I know, it was dumb but it was the only thing I had at the time that would work), knitting needles, crochet hooks, pens, pencils, combs. All sorts of stuff.

i broke my leg in the summer and when it itched, I used a metal coathanger that I reshaped. Be careful, they are NOT ribbed for her pleasure.
