It is pronounced skän. I know- I made 2 dozen a day when I worked in a convenience store- sold like hotcakes! I love the chocolate chip ones.

Skonn. I don't like the other way, as it's a little bit too 'high-tea' for me.
You put lots of butter on your heated 'skonn', and then strawberry jam, top it up with squirty cream, and then devour and enjoy.
It's better than watching Des Lynam on Countdown!

i say " sc own" because i think scon sounds posh.but were all from different countries and everybody has a different way of saying things.scon scown,whatever,it means the same thing.
