I do!
I did delivery and most people are very nice, but some are so nasty, we didn’t go back and even refused to deliver to them.

I personally do not tip a delivery person when there is a delivery charge. The reason for the delivery charge is for the company to be able to compensate their employees for the deliveries made (in cases such as mine where I do not tip). I have taken the advice of the Japanese. Tip someone who actually earns the tip...like your doctor for curing an ailment. I think a simple "thank you" goes a long way in most cases.

Of course you should. . I manage a pizza resturaunt and drivers collect ABSOLUTELY NONE of the delivery charge. They are paid mileage for their trips, but that is not taken from the delivery charge. The drivers tips are the reason they work, and they work hard to bring you hot food as quickly and safely as possible.

You could ask the place if the driver gets a percentage of the fee. Generally the fee covers the cost of gas etc.. and not the tip. You should not assume and ask. Most places will appreciate your inquiry and give you an honest answer. Just remember if you can afford to order out then you can afford at least a 10% tip. 15 to 20% if the service is incredible.

delivery charge is normally shared between the delivery man and the company who send him. If he has given you super service, tipping him is your way of saying JOD WELL DONE.
