I just took the SAT practice test in The Official guide and for the past 10 questions the answers alternate between "C" and "D." Is it a computer error or something??

Most of those programs are set up with a randomizing sequence to insure that human error of this type do not occur but it could be this happened anyway. There was a really strange happening with the Ohio Lottery after the Ohio State game about 2 weeks ago. The score and pick 4 numbers were the SAME! That is quite a cooincidence, Don't you think? Yet it is a randomized drawing that is continually going thru checks and balances. Probability is a Weird Duck! Work hard and do well on your SAT. AND... Have a great holiday.

There are many times more questions than just 10. If you count all the answers up, you'll find that the distribution of As, Bs, Cs, Ds, and Es do not have that much disparity.

Yes...i think its just you...every answer is randomized to fall in any one of the "n" choices given
The best way to answer a multi-choice question is elimination.
By Rule of Thumb, you can always eliminate two answers.
Then you have to "Zero-In" on any one of the choice of the remaining 2 (or) 3.
So Happy Reading...and wish you a gr8 scoring.
