i Love it, its my life....
I have been a metalhead for almost 10 years, i have seen metal bands in many different counteries, travelled to germany to see a metal festival with a guy i barely knew, damnit, and we got lost on the trains and boats on the way home.... madness!!!
i love thrash, and epic power metal, but i love all metal really, my faves are, ManOwaR, Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, MegadetH, PanterA, Anthrax, Hammerfall, Helloween, Gamma Ray, W.A.S.P, Iced Earth, and waaaaay too many to name.
im a semi professional drummer, and nothing but metal gets played by these drumsticks!!. theres no other music for me, its simply the best.
the best gig i EVER seen was anthrax in the point theater, Dublin ireland, in april 05, when joey belladonna reunited... OMG it was simply breathtaking... also earthshaker manowar, and bloodstock hammerfall were fantastic also.

I love metal, i've been a metalhead for over 10 years now and i still love it like the first day. Been all over europe and saw over 50 concerts and open airs with some 200 bands, i guess.
Anyway, my favourite genres would be heavy, power, epic and melodic metal, with bands like hammerfall, blind guardian, sonata arctica, falconer, gamma ray, freedom call, iron maiden, judas priest, dragonforce, helloween... the likes.

Metal, to me is the best type of music. I dont understand how people could say that some metal is "'too much' cause bands like to show off and play really fast", isnt the whole point of music a way of showing off a talented form of art? When people play instruments, they practice to get better at it. Can u estimate how much talent is required to do some of the shredding that good metal bands, express in their solos? Its taking music to new levels, not 'showing off'....
I like lots of bands....some of my favorite are death, kreator, sodom, morbid angel, origin, cannibal corpse, decrepit birth, necrophagist, megadeth, dark throne, bethlehem, shining, silencer, vomitory, disgorge, absu, and hypocrisy.

Well it depends on my mood. If I am in a really crappy angry mood sure I will listen to metallica and pantera sometimes ACDC.
Other than that I mostly listen to country and pop music.

i love metal, but also metal/hardcore.

i luv metal it's so friggin awesome!!!!!!
i also listen to classic rock, punk and hardcore n sum other stuff.
i only listen to music for talent and talent only. as a metalhead i also admire classical music...i don't listen to music just because it popular...

i like most music.
as long as i can hear what the musicians are playing, i like it.
some metal is a bit much cos the bands just show off and play really fast.
